25% of books purchased each year are bought as gifts. ‘Tis always the season to give books, but according to Google Trends, searches relating to “gifts” in the United States dramatically rises from early-mid November through Christmas Day, which makes the holidays the perfect opportunity for authors and publishers to expand their marketing strategies for new and older titles.
Our co-op allows you to maximize your efforts without breaking the bank! And, you don’t have to be a children’s author to participate—we are accepting titles for grown-ups, too!

Story Monster is grabbing his crayons and coloring sheets and heading back to the Scottsdale Public Library’s Ultimate Play Date. 5,000 children and families from the surrounding communities are expected to gather for this free event on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. outside the Civic Center Library in Scottsdale. Include your children’s book in our Story Monster & Friends co-op display to sell at the Story Monsters booth and in the co-op catalog that will be included in 100 Greenie Bags. We also have space available in our booth for authors to sell and sign books if you want to attend the event. As an added service, we are also offering a publicity package option to give your book even more exposure. Read on for details.

It's harder and harder for Indie authors to arrange book signings at Barnes & Noble stores. That is why we have an opportunity that’s too good to pass up! Sign books and meet readers at the Story Monster & Friends Author Signing Co-op scheduled for Saturday, February 29 from 12-2 p.m. at Barnes & Noble at Chandler Fashion Center in Arizona. The focus of this event is books for families. To participate, books must be available to purchase through Barnes & Noble. See below for details on how to apply to sell your book on BN.com.

Story Monsters LLC will create a unique URL listing for downloading the book, develop a custom email pitch, and send to a targeted list of librarians, educators, and book reviewers. The book will be available for review for a period of 6 months. Also, as part of the campaign, you will also be promoted on the Story Monsters social media pages.
Get your message out to educators as quickly and efficiently as possible. Story Monsters LLC will focus on developing your message and increasing the visibility of your book or business to educators. Our Educators Email Campaign includes a professionally-designed Author or Publisher Spotlight email that is sent to a targeted list of teachers, administrators, and superintendent of schools. We will also promote you on the Story Monsters social media pages. Any leads that are generated will be forwarded to you for your follow up.
Get your message out to 5,000 K-12 educational librarians. Story Monsters LLC will focus on developing your message and increasing the visibility of your book or business to librarians. Our Librarians Email Campaign includes a professionally-designed Author or Publisher Spotlight email that is sent to a targeted list of K-12 librarians. We will also promote you on the Story Monsters social media pages. Any leads that are generated will be forwarded to you for your follow up.
Get your message out to over 6,000 members of the media and book bloggers! Story Monsters LLC will develop your message to increase your book’s visibility. Our Media and Book Bloggers Email Campaign includes a professionally-designed Author Spotlight email sent to a targeted list of media members (newspaper, magazine, radio, and wire services) and book bloggers and tracked by Story Monsters LLC. As part of the campaign, you will also be promoted on the Story Monsters social media pages. Any leads that are generated will be forwarded to you for your follow up.
Want to increase your book's visibility but you don't know where to start? For more than three decades, Linda F. Radke has helped authors generate ideas on how to effectively market and promote their books while on a budget. She can help you, too! You can choose a session that is 15-minutes, 25-minutes, 45-minutes, or 60-minutes in length. Sessions can be done via phone, skype, or in person.

Every contest is tailored to each author's specific needs and goals. A Story Monsters LLC Social Media Contest runs for a period of two months and includes: planning and setting up the contest, promoting participation on social media, and purchasing a prize valued up to $100.
